Miley Cyrus Shines With Engagement Ring and Sequin Gown at 2026 Golden Globes

Miley Cyrus’ new bling stole the spotlight at the 2026 Golden Globes. The 33-year-old singer, nominated for Best Original Song for Avatar: Fire and Ash’s “Dream as One,” proudly showed off her engagement ring from fiancé Maxx Morando, whom she got engaged to in 2025 after four years together.

Cyrus dazzled in a black floor-length sequin gown featuring dramatic fanned-out sleeves and a low neckline, accessorized with a sleek black pendant necklace. She recently debuted her Hannah Montana–blonde hair, styled in effortless waves with a tousled, rock-and-roll edge.

Makeup artist Janice Daoud, using Maybelline products, created a look inspired by Cyrus herself. “We focused on lips and lashes to keep it fashion-forward but still red-carpet effortless,” Daoud said. “Layering two shades of Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara brought out her eyes, while sculpted lips gave the perfect polished, yet undone finish.”

The custom engagement ring, designed by Jacquie Aiche, features a cushion-cut stone set on a thick 14-karat yellow gold band, with estimated value between $150,000 and $450,000. A source told PEOPLE, “Miley is thrilled to be engaged. The ring is so her—cool, boho-rock, and beautiful. She didn’t feel the need to announce it because Maxx is very private, and it’s influencing how she lives her life now.”

Cyrus and 27-year-old Morando, drummer for the band Liily, have been living together for years. “She really thrives with him,” the source added. “They love creating music together—it’s exactly the life she’s wanted.”

The couple first sparked romance rumors in December 2021, backstage at Cyrus’ NBC holiday special Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party in Miami, and officially went public in April 2022 in West Hollywood.

Cyrus has been a Golden Globes regular since 2009. Last season, she made a daring red-carpet statement in a Celine by Hedi Slimane gown, debuting her new “songs” tattoo with an edgy updo described as “a cross between Debbie Harry and Japanese cartoon characters.”

She also reunited with Demi Moore at the ceremony, 13 years after working together on LOL, blowing kisses and stopping to greet the actress in a fan-captured moment.

The 83rd annual Golden Globe Awards took place at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles on Sunday, Jan. 11, airing at 8 p.m. EST on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.
